Eurocard

How to apply for a Eurocard

It is possible for PhD students to apply for a credit card from Aarhus University (Eurocard) upon approval of the supervisor. The card can be used to pay for larger amounts for example when travelling, such as hotel expenses, conference fees etc. thus avoiding large expenses drawn on you private credit card.

The transactions drawn on the Eurocard must be settled in RejsUd (remember to save receipts).

The Eurocard must not be used for private expenses. If this happens repeatedly, the Department reserves the right to confiscate and close the card. Any expenses left unsettled will be deducted from the upcoming payroll

The supervisor must inform the PhD student about proper use of the Eurocard, and the card must be handed back when finishing the PhD (unless you continue as a postdoc)

Send an email to Lene Conley, including approval from your supervisor, before you apply for a Eurocard.

Read more about the Eurocard (rules and instructions) and apply here: https://medarbejdere.au.dk/en/administration/finance/travel-booking/policy-for-credit-card-at-aarhus-university

Lost credit card

If your credit card has been lost or if another person has obtained knowledge of your pin code or if you suspect any other fraud with the card, you must, as soon as possible, initiate blocking of the card by calling SEB Kort at tel. (+45) 36 73 71 00 who can be reached 24 hours a day.

You can also use the Eurocard app to block the credit card.
