Application for use of rooms outside normal working hours

At Department of Chemistry, it is possible to apply for the use of rooms outside normal working hours (8 am - 4 pm). This can be done through the application form below.


The following rooms can be borrowed:

1514-213 Aud I - 198 persons (projector + Panopto)
1514-110 Aud II  - 22 persons (projector + Zoom Room)
1514-115 Aud III - 30 persons (projector + Zoom Room)
1514-116 Aud IV - 30 persons (projector + Zoom Room)
1514-121 Aud V  - 18 persons (projector + Zoom Room)
1510-213 Aud VI - 56 persons (projector + Zoom Room)
1510-510 The Old Library meeting room - approx. 20 personer (projector)


Use of rooms is subject to the following conditions:

  • Department events, teaching, and exams always have priority (even on short notice). Rooms are lent out with this reservation.
  • Rooms must be returned ready for use in teaching: Tables and chairs must be set up correctly and thoroughly wiped down, trash bins must be emptied, and waste disposed of.
  • Remember to clean the toilets
  • The borrower is responsible for cleaning up, turning off lights, closing windows/doors, and managing their own and guests' behavior. Inadequate cleaning or other deficiencies will be addressed at the borrower’s expense and may incur charges. This will always be assessed by the staff at the facility.
  • Please note that there are alarms on all windows and entrance doors. Therefore, all doors and windows must remain closed after 16.00 on weekdays and at all times during the weekends.
  • You may request a specific room in the form below. We will try to accommodate your request, but the room may be booked elsewhere.

Booking of rooms for Post-Exam Receptions (Thesis and Ph.D. defenses):

  • Only students from research groups affiliated with the Department of Chemistry are allowed to book rooms for post-exam receptions. This means your supervisor must be employed at the Department of Chemistry (maybe located at iNANO)
  • Only one room may be booked per reception.
  • The duration of the reception may not exceed 4 hours from the end of the exam, including setup and cleanup.
  • The reception and cleanup must be completed by 20.00,
  • Parties are not allowed at the Department and must be held elsewhere.
