The Danish multimedia tax was discontinued on 1 January 2012, and a tax on free phones was introduced instead.
Aarhus University's guidelines regarding the new tax are now available (in Danish only). Those members of staff who are subject to the new tax on free phones will have the tax deducted from their salaries in the pay period for February 2012.
