When you start there are a few practicalities to take care of:
Office: please let the secretariat know which office you have been assigned.
Office key and Access card
Please note there is a deposit to be paid for the key
If you already have a study card/access card, the access will be extended, corresponding to your enrollment period
Email address (@chem.au.dk address): You will receive a welcome email from IT with instructions for choosing an email name and how to log in
Computer: Talk to your supervisor first. If you need a standard PC (paid by the Department) please contact Lene Conley, who will order. If you need a high performance/other computer your supervisor must order the computer register the expense on the project (and get reimbursed by the Department if needed).
RejsUd & CWT profile: A profile in both will be created for you by the secretariat. We will need your private mobile number for the CWT profile (travel agent).
Safety introduction: If you haven't participated on our safety course Occupational safety and firefighting (Chemistry), please contact our safety leader Peter Hald: ph@chem.au.dk
Absence and Holidays: For PhD students 2 rules apply. Read more
Research stays: A PhD degree programme at the GSNS includes participating in active research environments, including stays at other, mainly foreign, research institutions for a period of at least three months. The mobility requirement may also be met by combining several shorter visits and/or by stays at research institutions or companies within Denmark. Read more
