There are 2 kinds of access cards, and if you don't already have one, you have to order one:
Student ID cards will be sent by mail to the student's home address. Access cards will be delivered to the Information Office at the Department where it can be picked up during opening hours.
The cards must be activated, see step 2.
New employees and guests must contact the information office/secretariat or write an e-mail to chem.au.dk for access
Bachelor, master and PhD students at Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry and Nanoscience will get access upon admission. Contact the information office/secretariat or write an e-mail to chem.au.dk if you order a new card and have lost access.

Access to rooms listed below requires special approval by the responsible person listed. Fill in form, scan and attach to your online application in the system.
If you have not attached the required documentation your application will be rejected.
No other special access can be granted via the system.
PhD students and postdocs not educated from Department of Chemistry at AU, must a.s.a.p. contact Safety Supervisor Peter Hald to be approved for access or signed up for the compulsory ”Occupational safety training” course.
Office key lending is handled by the Information Office at the Department of Chemistry.
Everyone except permanent staff must pay a key deposit (DKK 250) for office key lending. Permanent staff must fill in a special key form at the Informations Office (1520-211).
The key deposit is to be paid through below webshop, and afterwards you can pick up the key at the Information Office (within opening hours).
When picking up the key, you must bring the mail receipt you receive after paying the deposit.
Returning the key is solely the responsibility of the person who is registered as paying the deposit. If the key is not returned, the deposit will not be refunded.
"RejsUd" is a system used for:
In RejsUd you must state the reason for the expense and enter the project and activity numbers for the research project (ask your supervisor)
Please note that all credit card/travel account settlements must be made within 90 days of the purchase to avoid deduction from salary.
All PhDs should have a RejsUd profile and should have received an email with login information.

Please do not submit your own profile request, as it is important that the details about the Department are correct.

Delivery and picking-up of internal mail envelopes shall be done by Internal Postal Service:
Place letters to be sent by mail on the mail shelf OUTGOING EXTERNAL MAIL (NON-AU DESTINATIONS) at the Information Office. The letters shall be picked up by the internal mail service once a day around 10:00 (give or take half an hour).
Registered letters are to be marked by /R/ using a black marker, and a post-it note is to be attached to the letter giving the text (in Danish): "Skal sendes anbefalet". Place the letter on the mail shelf OUTGOING EXTERNAL MAIL (NON-AU DESTINATIONS). The letters shall be picked up by the internal mail service once a day around 10:00 (give or take half an hour).
For parcels within Denmark, use a Post Nord parcel label (red tray "LABELS for Danish parcels" in the mail shelf at the Information Office). Write weight of parcel and receiver's address on the label. Place the adhesive part of the label on the parcel and put the copy of the label in the black box marked "Flagpost". Then put the parcel on the mail shelf OUTGOING EXTERNAL MAIL (NON-AU DESTINATIONS) where it will be picked up by the Internal Postal Service.
If you want to send a parcel abroad, use the special label (red tray "LABELS for parcels going abroad" in the mail shelf at the Information Office) for sending parcels abroad and fill in the label info. Carefully extract the customer copy before placing the adhesive label on the parcel. The customer copy is to be put in the black box marked "Flagpost". Then put the parcel on the mail shelf OUTGOING EXTERNAL MAIL (NON-AU DESTINATIONS) where it will be picked up by the Internal Postal Service.

If you have a dangerous goods parcel you must contact Jonas Rask Christensen.
When you go abroad, IT IS SIMPLY FORBIDDEN to bring chemicals along on passenger planes due to air safety. Air safety is taken very seriously these days, and zero tolerance policies apply.
Contact Jonas a week in advance (NOT the day before), and have your samples declared correctly according to the IATA rules. Then they can be shipped with a courier approved for handling chemicals, and will be ready for you when you arrive.
Aarhus University has a safety advisor function regarding giving advice about transportation of dangerous goods - including disposal of chemicals.

Common printers are placed in the corridors of buildings 1510, 1511 and 1513 for scan and print.
MyPrint-solution printers are located inside and outside our IT labs (1510 3rd floor).
