2017.04.20 — Professor Bo Brummerstedt Iversen received Queen Margrethe II’s Science Award on 19 April 2017. The award is presented to an outstanding researcher by the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters.
2017.04.18 — AU IT will carry out IT maintenance work from Saturday 6 May at 08:00 to Sunday 7 May at 08:00. The work is necessary in order to ensure a high level of operational stability and IT security for AU staff and students.
2017.04.07 — Lundbeckfonden wishes to strengthen and support research of the highest international quality, primarily within biomedicine, including science projects with a clear biomedical angle and research plans. 2017.04.07 — This year’s Villum Young Investigator call is now published. Applicants usually have a PhD age of 3-7 years, and are either postdocs, assistant or associate professors. The grant amount is 7-10 mil. DKK, with deadline June 21st. The aim of Villum Young Investigator Programme is to fund talented young researchers in technical and natural sciences.
2017.04.07 — Innovative Medicines Initiative, ERC grants, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation
2017.04.06 — The Danish Council for Independent Research annual report including key numbers for 2016 is now available. In the report, the budget distribution across calls and councils can be found, as well as a view into the success rates, age distribution etc.
2017.03.31 — Phishing is an attempt to use email to cheat you into providing sensitive information or installing malware. Phishing mails do this by attempting to fool you into thinking that their senders are trustworthy entities. Never open attached files or click links in mails which you suspect might be attempts at phishing.
2017.03.28 — Researchers at AU can now use the external research funding database Research Professional when searching for funding. Currently, AU has purchased one year of access to the database.
2017.03.23 — If you are going to travel by train, you can now use the DSB app to buy a ticket/use a multi-ride ticket, or you can get a Rejsekort Erhverv travel card.

2017.02.23 — Aarhus University’s Chemistry Show uses everyday chemicals in spectacular demonstration experiments to spread knowledge about basic chemical theories and principles. Right now, they are experiencing national success performing in Denmark’s Got Talent 2017 on TV2. Tune in on Saturday 4 March, where viewers can vote for the students so they can go further in the competition.
2017.02.23 — The Aarhus University Research Foundation now offers microfunding grants for 2017. In total, DKK 200,000 will be available in microfunding. Each grant is in the amount of DKK 25,000.

2017.02.08 — Researchers can now register a lecture in the Book a Researcher programme – a Danish Science Festival initiative that provides an opportunity for everyone in Denmark to receive a free visit from a researcher in the week beginning Monday 24 April (week 17).
